What We Do

Simply put, we record, atler and enhance sound. That could be a song or a play or a voice for a video about stamp collecting. For a long (though incomplete) list of what we might be able to help with, scroll down the page.

Studio Costs Explained

While we understand that every project is unique in the variables that will eventually contribute to its outcome, we've established a price list to help better understand the costs involved in studio time.

Studio Time & Post-Production (includes engineer)

$50 per Hour (Minimum 2 hour for most bookings - please call or email for a list of exceptions)
$400 per Day (8 hours + extra time to make up for breaks/downtime)
Discounts are available on multi day bookings.
Ask about our discounts for students and outside producers.

As you can expect, this list will continue to grow. If you feel there is a service that we could offer that isn't listed here, please let us know and we'll figure out how we can make it happen.

Pre-Production

Often times the most overlooked step in recording, pre-production is essential to getting the most out of your recording sessions. Ideally, there will be meetings with studio staff, rehearsals, pre-planning time management, and anything else it takes to be ready for recording.

Mixing & Mastering

Not only are these two phases of the recording equally essential and somewhat of a mysterious art, they are a moving target when trying to associate a cost with the task. While it's best to discuss your project with us, here are some simple guidelines that may or may not answer your questions (all in regards to a single song or other piece of recorded work):
a) Start with a single hour for a few tracks to be setup with dynamic processing, appropriate ambience, and properly leveled.
b) Is the piece longer than five minutes? Add an hour of work.
c) Are there a lot of tracks? Add one or two more hours of work.
d) Does the recorded piece require more than a little editing, pitch correction, or other forms of “fixing?” Add another one or two hours of work, if not more.
As you can see, the work can add up quickly. Thankfully, we prefer to work by project rather than by hour so your budget doesn't have to suffer the burdens of complexity. Contact us for a proper estimate.
